Butterfly Airfield

So there's a story behind this. My dad and I did some traveling up through Wolf Creek Pass (hence the recent flood), and at Treasure Falls, there's a path. We thought this path went up to the waterfall, so we took it. The path was HORRIBLE. Muddy cliffs, fallen trees, could barely manage getting through it, and worse, I was barely awake because at that time I had been up for 24+ hours. If I fell, I would have fallen to my death. When I say muddy cliff, I mean exactly that. It was scary.

So we got to the top, after a lot of moaning, and there was... nothing. At all. And I was like, "Dude, I did not just climb all this for NOTHING."

So I laid down on the path (exhausted, of course), and looked around. I took my camera and turned it on. Through the zoom, I found this.

I think the whole damn thing was worth it.

(Incidentally, when we got back down, we noticed a sign in front of the path. It was closed... for good reason. There was another, much nicer path on the other side, and that one led to the falls. But we were too tired by that point to bother. LOL EPIC FAIL.)
